Tributes have been paid to a Staffordshire Police special constable after he died following a crash between his motorbike and a HGV.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A536 Congleton Road at the Flower Pot crossroads in Macclesfield at around 7.40 am on Thursday.
Cheshire Police added the family were being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Constable Dave Stubbs, of Staffordshire Police paid tribute to Terry on social media after learning of his death. He tweeted: So sad to hear of the loss of Terry who was a serving officer with Staffordshire Police Special Constabulary. He was highly thought of by regulars and specials alike and will be deeply missed.”
