Garden waste collection suspension

Cheshire East Council’s garden waste collection service will be suspended for 10 weeks over the winter.

The 10-week period will begin on Sunday 2 December. The service will resume the week beginning Sunday 10 February 2019.

As garden bins are collected every fortnight, please check the Cheshire East Council website for your last collection of 2018 and your first collection of 2019.

Stickers have been attached to bins informing householders of this suspension.

During the shutdown, residents can take their garden waste to any of Cheshire East’s household waste recycling centres, which are located in Alsager, Bollington, Congleton, Crewe, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Middlewich and Poynton.

They are open seven days a week throughout the year, including Bank Holidays, except Christmas Day.
