It may be wintry and grey outside, but the good news is that the planning for next year’s biennial Barnaby Festival is about to begin!
Barnaby is all about Macclesfield’s amazing people: your energy, ideas, creativity and generosity of spirit have underpinned successive Festivals since 2010. So once again we’re asking for your help to co-create the events and content responding to our 2020 theme of VISION.
2020 marks ten years since this incarnation of the Festival hit Macclesfield’s streets, so we want to make sure it’s a fantastic celebration of all things creative, artistic, moving, cultural, collaborative, spectacular, fun and memorable. We’re inviting ideas, suggestions, discussion and thoughts on how we can develop a programme that marks this special anniversary in the best way possible.
Join us at our first Open Programming Session on Sunday 24th Marchbetween 12.30 – 3.30 at The Old Sunday School. We’re looking forward to a creative and energetic discussion about what the theme might mean for you, for Macclesfield more widely, and for potential exhibitions, performances and events.
For full details, and to let us know you’re coming, please register at our Eventbrite page.
If you want to be involved but can’t make 24th March, don’t worry – there’ll be plenty more opportunities to contribute. And if there’s someone you think would be interested who doesn’t get these emails, please invite them to sign up for our newsletter here.
