The relatively warm weather has seen our local hedgehog population awakening from their winter slumbers.
Last year we were fortunate to have three in our garden at one time – immediately followed by a fourth – then again it was the mating season. This year I’m keeping my camera close to hand to capture any hog action.
The hedgehog feeding station was constructed from a clear plastic box – with an entrance hole cut in one end. The base is lined with newspaper to keep the slugs out and make cleaning easier – and the ‘roof’ (box lid) goes on when rain threatens or when we turn in for the night.
