In conjunction with Stroke Awareness, The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle organised an event held in the Grosvenor Centre for members of the public to have their Blood Pressure checked by medically qualified personnel.
Those checking the blood pressure of the volunteers included Howard Elkin, Emergency Medical Technician; John Bradbury, Zur Giser and Kwok Wan from St. John Ambulance Brigade.
Organiser Rotarian Chris Watson said: “Thank you to everyone who helped including volunteers from ROAR and the Grosvenor Centre staff. The support from the Stroke Awareness team Diane Warhurst, Jayne Humphreys and Pauline Goodhall was excellent”.
President Carole Murphy said: “Rotary are delighted to organise this annual event to support the local community. This year 116 people came along to have their blood pressure checked on a very wet and windy day as Storm Hannah visited Macclesfield”.
