STOP PRESS: Joseph has been found. Cheshire Police have asked us to pass on their thanks for the public’s assistance.
Cheshire Police are appealing to the public to help trace a Poynton man who went missing from his home yesterday.
Joseph (Joe) Eatock, 47, was reported missing by his family just after 6pm on Thursday 6 June. He was last seen at 9.30am at Macclesfield College, on Park Lane, Macclesfield, but later failed to appear at work.
He is described as white, 6’2”, very short black hair and facial hair, tattoos on his forearms and legs and his right index finger is missing. He was wearing black rimmed glasses an orange t-shirt, shorts and flip flops.
He may be driving a silver Citroen Berlingo – and officers are asking motorists to keep an eye out for this vehicle – particularly in the Macclesfield and Poynton areas.
Inspector Steve Griffiths said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Joseph’s welfare and we want people in the Macclesfield area to be on the lookout for anyone who matches his description.
“We are also appealing for motorists in the area to be on the lookout for his car which may be parked up somewhere in the region. I would also appeal directly to Joseph and ask him to get in touch with us and let your family know that you are safe.”
Anyone with any information in relation to whereabouts of Joseph is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident IML 421349.
