Fancy making your very own Lindow Man? – then try your hand at soap carving with Jann Thorpe.
THURSDAY 22nd
Storytelling with Jan Blake – tales from around the world with one of the country’s best storytellers, making a welcome return to Macc after Barnaby ’18. From 1 pm.
FRIDAY 23rd
Bring your favourite panda bear (other bears are welcome!) and a picnic – for a Great Panda Picnic!; more fabulous storytelling from Jan Blake; Panda fork painting with Jann Thorpe + Chinese tea tasting.
SATURDAY 24th
An introduction to Chinese musical instruments – come and try them and make a song! (1 – 2 pm); Chinese calligraphy workshops
(2 – 3 pm; 3 – 4 pm); Meet our digital panda! + The Museum of the Future with Marc Jackson, Chinese tea tasting and live lute music from
Yichen Liu.
SUNDAY 25th
Print your own Panda tote bag; Tai chi demonstrations and a chance to have a go! (1 – 2 pm; 2 – 3 pm); Make a book of Chinese Tangram shapes with Jann Thorpe; Chinese brush painting workshop
(3 – 4 pm) + meet our digital panda.
No need to book, just drop-in – it’s all FREE!
West Park Museum is open this summer until Sunday 1st September, Tuesdays to Sundays (closed Mondays), 1 pm – 4 pm. Admission is FREE and all activities are free, with donations welcome.
