Barnaby Presents was kicked off on Thursday 7 November 2019, a new series of free workshops that will cover a range of arts & culture producing skills in the lead up to Barnaby 2020.
For the first session, producer, consultant and veteran bid-winner Laura Drane delivered a brilliant fundraising masterclass, which provided a comprehensive overview of the main ingredients of a successful funding bid to public funders, trusts and foundations, private philanthropists and donors.
A huge thanks to everyone that battled through the wet and windy weather from near and as far as Warrington to join us; it was great to have such a range of arts backgrounds and interests in the room, including freelance producing, theatre making, visual arts, community arts development and cross-art form fundraising. Laura has kindly shared her presentation and a couple of useful handouts, which we are more than happy to share on request.
The workshops form part of the Barnaby Festival Open call for events, exhibitions and project proposals to be submitted for the 2020 festival programme
The next workshop – Barnaby Presents: Podcasting – will be led by podcast geek, audio producer, fundraiser and marketer Vic Elizabeth Turnbull. Join us on Monday 13th January 2020 between 6.30-8.30pm to find out how to get your podcast idea off the ground and into the ears of your audience-to-be!
