The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle held its 44th Annual Charities Bazaar which supports the work of many local charities, by providing a venue for the charities to raise funds.
There were 32 stalls in St Michael and All Angels Church and several thousand pounds, in total, was raised this year.
Mary Grant, Rotary President, said: ”Rotary are delighted to provide an opportunity for so many local charities to raise much needed funds to support their wonderful work. The event was well attended, and local people were able to do some early Christmas shopping and enjoy a drink in the café.”
“Thank you to local residents for coming along and supporting the local charities, to Rotarian Bob Bracegirdle and his team for the months of preparation and to members of ROAR for helping Rotary with the distribution of leaflets on the day”.
The Girlguiding group leader Helena White said: “The Girl guides had an amazing time at the Bazaar. We met some lovely people and raised a fair amount of money for our Project trip to Nepal in 2021”.
Bob has already booked the same weekend for the 2020 event.
