Jack Douglas Lloyd is being sought by police after he absconded from HMP Sudbury on Friday 29 November.
The 34-year-old, who is white, slim, 5ft 10ins tall and has brown eyes, was convicted at Manchester Crown Court in 2016 to serve nine years for a number of robberies and possessing an imitation firearm.
His home address is in Hyde but he has connections to Ashton-under-Lyne, Glossop and Manchester.
