Detectives investigating a series of armed robberies at convenience stores across the region have charged eight men.
The robberies included The Co-op Store, Ivy Road, Macclesfield, The Co-op Store, Town Lane, Mobberley plus three other Co-op and one One Stop stores across the north west.
Daniel Adamson, 33, no fixed abode; Christopher Burke, 24, Greenwood Close, Timperley; Michael Burke, 38, HMP Altcourse; Connor Kedie, 21, Rookfield Avenue, Sale; Michael Kedie, 28, no fixed abode; Robert Lewis, 45, Keswick Road, Stretford; Anthony Watson, 32, Withington Road, Manchester and Jack Yarwood, 34, Ascot Avenue, Sale, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, following a joint investigation by Cheshire Constabulary and Greater Manchester Police into a series of armed robberies at convenience stores across the region.
The charges relate to a total of 29 armed robberies, including six in Cheshire, which all occurred between 12 May 2019 and 21 November.
All eight men have been remanded in custody and are next due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday 12 February.
