Macclesfield Town Council recently ran a Best Front Garden Competition to encourage residents to celebrate their gardens.
During the lockdown period residents turned to their gardens spending more time in them and improving them, plus we experienced some lovely weather which helped gardens to thrive.
Residents were invited to send in a picture of their front garden, there were three categories, best small front garden, best large front garden and best hanging basket. The winners were decided by a panel made up of Councillor Mick Warren, Councillor Janet Jackson MBE, Adrian Bullock, Macclesfield Town Ranger and John Williams, a Britain in Bloom volunteer.
The winner of each category was presented with a trophy by the Mayor of Macclesfield, Cllr Sarah Bennett-Wake.
