Murderers jailed for life
Two men convicted of murdering a popular and well-loved father in Macclesfield have been jailed for life.
Daniel Whitmore, aged 26, and Daniel Mayers, aged 38, were both found guilty of murder following a 12 day trial at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 26 August.
The pair reappeared in court where they were both jailed for life.
Whitmore, of Mayfield Avenue, Macclesfield, will serve a minimum of 17 years and six months and Mayers of Glegg Street, Macclesfield, will serve at least 20 years.
