Macclesfield Town Council has appointed Laura Smith as its new Town Clerk.
Laura, who lives in Macclesfield, worked as CEO of the Disability Information Bureau in Macclesfield for 18 years working with local people and the communities to improve their lives. She brings with her a vast amount of local knowledge of issues affecting Macclesfield and its residents. “I am thrilled to have been appointed as the Town Clerk of Macclesfield, it is a wonderful town and place to live and work. Together with the current team, I am very excited to continue the hard work and take our town forward.”
Councillor Fiona Wilson added “I am delighted that Laura Smith is joining us as our Town Clerk. Laura has excellent experience and local knowledge of our town and I look forward to working with her, together with the Town Hall team and Councillors, to deliver the Council’s ambitious agenda for Macclesfield”
