Macclesfield Town have released an update regarding the appointment of a new First Team Manager ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

News from the club is that:
The volume and quality of applications received by the Football Club has been very encouraging – with a high number of quality candidates putting their names forward.

After completing due diligence on them all, those believed to match the club’s requirements best were progressed to the next stage of the process. This involved ongoing communication with the relevant people in order to ensure that the correct choice for the club is made.

Criteria for selection:
Firstly, it is the job of the potential Manager to convince the club that their team will not only be hard to beat, but also will win games of football in a manner which will make the Silkmen attractive to watch. The Club are actively looking to appoint someone with a proven track-record of success in this regard.

The club says:
“Whilst we do recognise that this ongoing process may well be proving to be frustrating for many of our supporters, it is imperative that the right choice is made for Macclesfield Town.

“We are working absolutely flat-out to conclude this within the very near future and will provide a further update as soon as we are able.”
