Covid claims three more

East Cheshire NHS Trust reported three deaths from coronavirus on 4th November.

The total number of coronavirus patients to have died at East Cheshire NHS Trust’s sites now stands at 160.

Elsewhere in Cheshire, one coronavirus patient has reported to have died at the Countess of Chester NHS Trust, taking the total number of deaths there to 239. Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Leighton Hospital, also reported two deaths from coronavirus today – taking the death toll there to 224.

302 new deaths from Covid-19 have been reported to have taken place at NHS England hospitals, including 93 in the north west. Of those patients who died, 274 were aged 60 or above, while one person was aged 19 or younger.

Only deaths that occur in hospitals where the patient has tested positive for Covid-19 are recorded, with deaths in the community excluded, such as those in care homes.
