Plans to establish a supported living scheme in Macclesfield look set to be approved despite coming up against “significant concerns”.
The scheme is earmarked for a site on Ivy Lane, with seven apartments proposed across three-and-a-half-storeys. Eight were originally planned but alterations have been during the lifetime of the application.
Ward councillor Nick Mannion called the plans in, noting that “significant concerns” had been raised. These included the project representing an over-development of the site, among others.
However, a report drawn up ahead of Cheshire East Council’s planning committee meeting on 10 March said: ” It is considered that subject to conditions the proposed development would comply with the relevant policies in relation to design, neighbour amenity and forestry.”
Approval has been recommended.
