EU Business Register scam

If you or someone you know is just starting a business they’ll be anxious to gain as much publicity as possible.

Included will be the desire for the company to be listed in as many places as possible.

So when you get an email offering to put your business into the EU Business Register it’s a temptation – then when you read the magic words “Updating is free” – what’s not to like.

Well for a start it’s only the updating of your listing that’s free of charge.

And you’re actually going into an online directory for EU companies which will be as much use to your business as a chocolate fireguard.

But if you then read the small print, you’re told that your actually signing up for three years at a cost of 995 Euros per year.
