A student from Macclesfield has been accepted into the LMA London School of Dance after impressing superstar Robbie Williams.
Sanchez Richards, 17, cut his teeth while a pupil at Macclesfield Academy, where he performed in productions such as Little Shop of Horrors before leaving.
He also got an ‘A’ in GCSE drama while in year nine.
Now he has earned a place at the prestigious dance school in an audition process that included an interview with the former Take That singer.
Sanchez said: “When I got accepted into drama school I cried, I felt a huge sense of achievement to know that all the blood, sweat and tears including the aches and pains from doing eight hours of dance five days a week had finally paid off.
“My goals and ambitions are to be on the West End and owning my own dance school.”
When asked what his advice for fellow young performers would be, he added: “Be you, and don’t let anyone change who you are and make sure that you are focused and dedicated to be the best version of yourself you could possibly be.”
