Visiting National Trust properties

From 19 July, you’ll no longer need to pre-book your visit to many National Trust properties in England.

For smaller properties where booking has been introduced for guided tours, or to manage visitor numbers for other reasons (such as ferry capacity), booking is still required. 

Pre-booking is still required for some places in Wales and Northern Ireland so please check the property webpage before you travel.

Following government guidance, the National Trust is also lifting social distancing rules and other Covid restrictions in England.

The safety of visitors, volunteers and staff remain a top priority and so hand sanitiser and the highest standards of cleanliness will continue to be provided.

Different restrictions remain in place in Wales and Northern Ireland so follow the relevant guidance for the country you’re visiting.
