As if by magic, following our previous item regarding Cheshire Police dismissing dash-cam footage.
Detectives investigating a burglary in Wilmslow are appealing for information from members of the public.
The occupant of a Manchester Road house, returned to his home on Thursday, 26th May, at around 11 pm, where he encountered two men, who punched him in the face.
The men, wearing gloves and balaclavas and armed with knives, demanded his watch before kicking open the front door and taking four high value watches from a safe.
They men are believed to have Liverpool and Manchester accents.
The victim sustained an injury to his eye which was treated by paramedics.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who has information, CCTV or dash cam footage to get in touch.
Detective Constable Andy Megson, of Macclesfield local policing unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing but at this stage we believe it is possible these men were waiting for the occupants to arrive home in order to confront them and steal their jewellery.
“Although there have been no further reports, to reassure the local community we will have officers visible in the area and are encouraging residents to be vigilant.
“I want to take this opportunity to encourage residents to check their CCTV or dash cam footage and to come forward if they have information that could assist with our investigation.
“I would also ask anyone who may have seen or heard two men in the area shortly before and after the burglary took place to get in touch.”
