Elaf Lebanese restaurant has suffered extensive damage.
The attack on its Jordangate premises, left several windows smashed and graffiti (since removed) daubed on the walls.
The owners advise us that the police are currently investigating the incident – and may have identified a suspect.
It’s anticipated that the restaurant will be closed for a period of time but, the owners have assured us they’ll keep us posted – so we in turn can keep Elaf’s customers informed.
Putting in a huge amount of money, time and effort, the owners and staff have strived to establish Elaf as one of the top restaurants in the town.
All vandalism is unforgivable, on this scale it’s reprehensible
Anyone with any information that may identify the perpetrators of this despicable crime is asked to contact Macclesfield police or email editor@ilovemacc.com.
