Macclesfield Silk Museum Heritage open day

As part of its Heritage Open Day, Macclesfield Silk Museum is planning a Making Macclesfield self-guided walking tour around the town.

The date for your diary: Saturday September 10.

Visitors will be able to dip in and out of site visits during the day including The Silk Museum on Park Lane, St Michael’s Church in Market Place, Granelli’s Ice cream on Newton Street and Christ Church on Bridge Street.

Visitors will be able to call in to each of the historic venues and see why they are special and try out something new.

All venues can be identified by a deck chair outside.

All for free, but donations are welcome.

Cut along to Silk Museum between 10 am and 4 pm for even more activities.
