Industry leading Precision Card Services’ new branding was unveiled to Macclesfield’s MP, David Rutley, during a recent visit.
Changing the company’s name to Precision Card Services from Plastic Card Services, allows it to reflect more fully the range of its services and to keep their well-known acronym, PCS.
In celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary, the rebrand signifies how PCS has developed over the years, to become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of high quality recycled and eco-degradable cards. PCS’s Tytherington based purpose-built facility is spread across 30,000 square feet, including state of the art production and finishing equipment, which provides the capacity for PCS to process 160 million cards per year.
Established in 1993, PCS now employs around 40 people, enabling the company to provide a range of cards, including gift, loyalty, and membership applications as well as smart cards and hotel key cards. The company recognises that as it has grown over the years, it is important for the team to consider their wider environmental impact. As a result, PCS has developed a diverse range of eco-friendly and sustainable materials including 100% recycled PVC and eco-degradable PVC, as well as paper-board cards, all of which can be recycled.
Speaking after the meeting, David said, “It is positive to see this well-established Macclesfield business preparing to celebrate their 30th anniversary. PCS has gone from strength to strength over the years and the work they are doing to ensure their business is environmentally friendly is commendable– I wish the team continued success as they take forward their ambitious plans.
