Latest from the ilovemacc Rumour Mill is that NewOld hair salon, currently based on Mill Street, will be relocating to Chestergate in the new year.

We understand the move is a result of their astronomical annual rent of £33,000!

Word has it they’re moving next door or next door-but-one to the NatWest Bank on Chestergate.

You’ll have seen that work is underway on the old River Island store on Mill Street.

Our information is that it’s going to be yet another coffee shop – coffee#1 – owned by Caffe Nero but operated independently.

Still no word on M&S’s old Mill Street store – although the rumours of Primark persist.
