A call to Macclesfield businesses . . .

. . . to be part of Barnaby Festival Community Art Trail 2023.

We are delighted to be bringing Macclesfield town centre businesses the opportunity to see your shop front become part of a community gallery, providing a platform for local art in a response to this year’s festival theme:

In a New Light. We provide the art, the installation and the footfall; you provide the window.

What is the Community Art Trail?

The Community Art Trail is a series of original, local art produced by professional artists, gifted creatives, community groups, schools and individuals of all ages.

The art will be produced as removable vinyl stickers which apply directly onto the exterior of windows and blank glass surfaces and are removable with no damage to the window.

Art will be produced in large A3 size and smaller A4 sized and can be matched to your available space.

How will it benefit local business participants?

The Community Art Trail will provide a steady footfall of locals and festival visitors across the weekend of 16th – 18th June. We can direct them straight to your door (or window!).

Your company name and location will be featured on our Trail Map which is available online and in print over the course of the weekend.

The Barnaby Festival will feature in local and regional press coverage as well as our social media accounts.

The trail provides an opportunity for collaborations. Should you wish to offer Barnaby Festival-goers an incentive to stop along the way, we are happy to discuss setting up a promotion or offer.

Content Opportunities. We can curate the art to match artists and their artworks to suitable venues. Talk to us about your company image, values and ethos and we can look to make enriched matches.

What do you need to join us?

In order to take part you will need access to an A3 or A4 sized space within your window to display the artwork.

We will provide and install a vinyl frame with a QR code directing visitors to the Community Art Trail website. These will be put in place from 5th June onwards. Art will be added into the frame from 12th – 16th June and remain in place until 20th June. We can work around any requests/constraints within that time frame for installation.
