Rambling on

Last week’s short walk was very muddy in places.

The walk, 6 miles and a total ascent of 145ft, took us down Old Hall Lane, skirting Avro Golf Course, and on past the water treatment plant.

We crossed Mill Lane and cut across fields to Bonis Hall Lane heading across the road, following the footpath down to the River Bollin.

Crossing Mill Lane again we headed up a slight incline to Newton Hall Farm before heading back to Mill Lane.

From there we crossed Lees Lane and walked to Lumb Farm where we followed the footpath back to Old Hall Lane.
