Carefound Home Care supports NHS Charity

Carefound Home Care has raised over £240 for East Cheshire NHS Charity with a dementia-friendly screening at The Rex Cinema in Wilmslow.

Carefound Home Care, which provides support to older people living in their own homes, partnered with The Rex Cinema in Wilmslow to show the timeliness Christmas classic, ‘Miracle on 34th Street’, all whilst supporting East Cheshire NHS Charity. 

Attendees enjoyed complimentary tea and cakes baked by Carefound Home Care carers and had private use of the ‘Ballroom Screen’ meaning everything was specially set up to be particularly suitable for people living with dementia or with mobility needs.

This is the second fundraising event that Carefound Home Care has hosted in support of East Cheshire NHS Charity, after a very successful NHS 75 afternoon tea event in July.

Rachel Wallace, Head of Communications and Engagement at East Cheshire NHS Trust, said, “I cannot thank Carefound Home Care enough for choosing to fundraise for East Cheshire NHS Charity.”

“We are East Cheshire NHS Trust’s charity and provide for the added extras that the NHS can’t fund. It’s these added extras that make all the difference to patient experience, whether it’s funding toys for children to play with whilst waiting for appointments; or staff well-being areas, where they can recharge to keep providing the best possible patient care.”

“It’s because of people like Carefound Home Care fundraising for us that we can go the extra mile for our community. The event at the Wilmslow Rex was absolutely amazing and it felt so special to be there and part of the afternoon.”
