Macclesfield FC manager, Alex Bruce, has left the club to take up a coaching role with Salford City.
The 39-year-old former Hull City defender only took over at Macc last October for his first role in management.
He had previously been on the coaching staff at West Bromwich Albion during his father Steve’s spell in charge at The Hawthorns.
Bruce leaves with the Silkmen in fifth place in the seventh tier.
The club’s website posted the following: “Whilst being disappointed that Alex has decided to leave the Club at this stage of the season, we wish him well in his future career.
“A further statement will be communicated regarding our new Coaching Team in due course.”
In his new role, Bruce will form part of Karl Robinson’s coaching staff at the Peninsula Stadium.
