Families will be enjoying a fun day at Alderley Park later this month.
Spring Fest, formerly ‘The Farm Weekend’, offers everyone the opportunity to visit a working farm at Alderley Park’s 400-acre woodland park.
The estate’s former ‘Farm Weekend’ has been refreshed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bruntwood SciTech.
The special festival, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Bruntwood SciTech will see a host of exciting activities including music, falconry, donkey rides, spring crafts, street food and bars.
Live music will be performed by Cheshire’s brass band The Roaming Empire.
Daniel Bourne, director of asset management at Bruntwood SciTech said: “We’re delighted to launch Spring Fest this April and can’t wait to bring our most inspiring programme yet to the community.
“As we celebrate 10 years of the transformation of Alderley Park, we thought it the perfect time to evolve our Farm Weekend event and pack in even more reasons to love spring and all that it embodies.
“Nature is at the heart of what we do at Alderley Park and we’re delighted to throw open our gates to the community to experience the joy of the Park.”
Alderley Park Farm is home to 250 ewes and the flock produces around 400 lambs each year and visitors will have the opportunity to view the lambing shed, along with many other animals from the farm.
Other highlights include a woodland trail treasure hunt and off-road adventures with mini Rovers – a fleet of mini Land Rovers – giving children the chance to sit in the driving seat.
Spring Fest which runs from 10 am to 4 pm, on Saturday, April 27, is a not-for-profit community event.
Tickets at £8 per person, include all activities on site and a 50p donation which goes to charity.
