Don’t forget it’s Macc Beer Festival next weekend – 10th and 11th May 2024.
140 varieties of tipple to whet your whistles!
This year’s event, which will raise funds for Cheshire Search and Rescue, will feature some 150 beers, ciders and perries. There will also be family entertainment, live music, and a variety of independent food retailers.
The beers come from more than 50 different breweries and have been selected by the committee’s CAMRA members. They include a wide range of brews from the North West, as well as many from further afield, which are rarely seen in the region. The bar is staffed by more than 150 local volunteers across the three sessions. There will also be a gin and prosecco bar.
To raise awareness for the charity Andy’s Man Club, James Barlow will be taking on a Guinness world record attempt to complete the most miles run with a lawnmower in 24 hours. This will conclude at 3pm on the Saturday afternoon.
Macclesfield’s Charity Beer Festival is one of the region’s longest-running charity events, having raised more than £300,000 in its nearly 30-year history. This year’s event is sponsored by solicitors SAS Daniels, accountancy firm Bennett Brooks, and Spiral Print.
