Man sought in relation to shoplifting incident

Cheshire police, investigating a shoplifting incident at a store in Macclesfield, have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

The shoplifting incident occurred at around 2 pm on Monday 13 May, at the Tesco store on Exchange Street, Macclesfield.

During the incident, two men left the store with around £300 worth of alcohol products.

Later that day, the same two men entered the Sainsbury’s store on Middlewich Road, Nantwich, and left without paying for a number of items.

Cheshire police have now released the above CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to these incidents.

PCSO Melisa Mellor said:

“As part of our enquiries, we are appealing for any witnesses to these incidents to get in touch with us to help progress our investigation.

“The same goes for anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image as we believe he may hold vital information.

“We would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to get in touch with us.”
