Tractor GPS theft

During the early hours of this morning, (26th June) the GPS screens were removed from tractors on a farm north of Knutsford. 

These screens link to the GPS systems and are vital in ensuring maximum yield and production on farms. The loss to the farmer is in the tens of thousands.

Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team said: “If you use GPS units on your farm, revisit your security today.

“As a team we are working with other units across the UK to tackle those who seek to profit from this kind if crime.

“If you’re passing farms late at night and you see something suspicious, please do call it in on 101 or if there’s a crime happening there and then it’s 999.”
