Cheshire police, who clocked 73 speeding drivers in the Chelford area, are urging drivers to slow down

Police have been carrying out a series of speed enforcement operations across East Cheshire – last week monitoring the 30mph zones around Chelford and Knutsford.

Speeding could have ‘catastrophic consequences’, warn officers.

A spokesman said: “Over the past few days, 73 vehicles have been caught speeding in the Knutsford and Chelford areas.

“Watch your speed when driving as you put other road users at risk.

“Do not drive over the speed limit as the consequences can be catastrophic.”
