Thursday evening, 31st October, will see the second talk of Macc Lit & Phil’s new season.
The usual location and time: Macclesfield Library, Brunswick Street entrance, at 7.30 pm.
Historian of science Patricia Fara will talk about the female scientists, doctors and engineers who during the First World War took over the jobs normally done by men. Patricia has titled her talk “A Lab of One’s Own: Cambridge Women in the First World War”.
The talk will be followed by a short AGM.
If you haven’t joined the society yet this season the membership fee for the full season is £25, which is the same as last season.
