Cheshire East has amended its proposals for changes to black bin collections.
The council said on social media this was “following feedback from our recent public consultation.”
Their post continued: “We asked people for their feedback on changing black bin collections to once every three weeks to coincide with the introduction of weekly food waste collections in the borough by 1 April 2026.
“Changes to the proposals include having larger waste education and enforcement teams, better enforcement against those who continue to get rid of their waste in the wrong way, and updating our policies around returning for missed bins and the eligibility criteria for people needing a larger black bin.”
The updated proposals will be considered by the council’s environment and communities committee on 27 November.
