Police appeal following serious collision

Macclesfield police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on Chester Road in Macclesfield.

At around 8 pm on Tuesday 24 December evening, a purple Alfa Romeo Mito was in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly died the next day.

Anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police, or anyone with dashcam that may help with the investigation, should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website quoting IML 1992007.
