The tip: Macclesfield’s new theme park?

Accessing Macclesfield refuse tip is akin to queuing at a theme park.

Once you’ve made it off the main road, having earned the ire of the motorists who you’ve prevented from travelling to Congleton, without having to cross a double white line, you think you’re there – you’re not.

Traffic congestion must be so bad they’ve introduced a ‘theme park’ style queuing system.You drive onwards to the tip proper, before being turned around and sent back to the tip entrance.

Can’t imagine the energy being wasted by hundreds of cars accessing the tip daily – only to encounter a 35 minute wait.

And this was on a Monday!

But don’t worry, the numpties responsible have concluded it will all be fine when we join up with Cheshire West – which is ’only’ £156 million in debt and Warrington which is £2 billion (no that’s not a mistake) in debt.

What could possibly go wrong?
