The last Sunday in every month means just one thing – Treacle Market.
This famous Macclesfield market, which pitches up on the last Sunday of every month (apart from December, when it takes place on the Sunday before Christmas) – on the handsome cobbles of Macclesfield Market Place – has reinvigorated the heart of our market town.
Treacle is considered a trail blazer as the first of this kind of Artisan market, with over 170 stalls selling unique crafts, locally produced food and drink and vintage finds.
Established in 2010, the last Sunday in the month sees the marketplace, Old Butter Market, St Michael’s churchyard and the surrounding streets throng with visitors from all over the North and Midlands, some arriving in coaches, keen to experience the unique mix of stalls, complete with notoriously friendly makers and traders.
Dogs are made welcome too, with many expected to be sporting Christmas outfits this year!
Sunday 31st March from 10 am – 3.30 pm in Macclesfield marketplace.
