Sainsbury’s robbery

Police are appealing for information following a theft at Sainsbury’s in Macclesfield.

Just after 4 pm, on Friday 21 March, three men entered the store on Cumberland Street, took three shopping bags and filled them with Gillette and Nicolette products taken from the shelves.

They were challenged by a security guard, who they assaulted, before forcing their way through and fleeing in the direction of Westminster Road.

Police have released a CCTV image of three men they would like to speak to in relation to a theft at a supermarket in Macclesfield.

At 4.12pm on Friday 21 March three men went into Sainsbury’s in Cumberland Street and took three shopping bags which they then put a significant amount of Gillet and Nicorette products which they stole from the shelves.

They then forced their way out of the store through the no exit barriers. When challenged by a security guard they assaulted him and fled on foot in the direction of Westminster Road.
