A female restaurant diner was robbed of her Rolex and Hermes handbag last Saturday night.
The 35-year-old was returning to her car, parked outside the San Carlo restaurant, in Alderley Edge, when she was approached by a man wearing a balaclava.
The man threatened her with a pair of scissors before stealing her gold Rolex watch and red Hermes handbag.
The mugger then made off on foot in the direction of the Texaco garage and onto Davey Lane.
Thankfully, the victim was uninjured as a result of the incident which happened at around 10pm on Saturday, March 29th.
Enquiries are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone with any information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Ross Hamilton said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim, which left her extremely shaken up.
“I would like to reassure residents that we are doing everything we can to establish the identity of offender.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area, and we would urge anyone with any concerns to speak to an officer.
“As part of the investigation, I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and thinks they have witnessed something suspicious, or even may have seen the offender before or after the robbery.”
