‘Patch the Pots’

Cheshire East Council are encouraging residents to help road users by fixing the potholes in their own streets.

Under the scheme, entitled ‘Patch the Pots’, residents will be offered filling material and instructions on how to tackle the individual types of potholes.

A Cheshire East spokesman said that last year Cheshire East had fixed over 35,000 potholes and just 550 were remaining in the hole of Cheshire.

Counc Efin Tarmac said “We have solutions in hand, but we’re always looking for ways to help plug more holes in our roads – and our finances!

“We’ve even commissioned a YouTube video to instruct residents, all we need now are the volunteers.”
