M6 closed northbound following collision.

The M6 in Cheshire is currently closed northbound following a two vehicle collision.

The collision is believed to involve two HGVs and as a result of the incident the road is currently closed northbound between junctions 19 and 20.

Officers from Cheshire roads policing team are currently in attendance at the scene, along with colleagues from Highways England. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Services and North West Ambulance Service are also on route to the scene

Local diversions are currently in place, although motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
