Living Ventures is set to add to its portfolio of Alchemist outlets when it opens in Alderley Edge, Cheshire soon.
The company has announced it has taken the site where Grill on the Edge is currently situated. It will close its doors on Tuesday (May 31) and work will start on extensive refurbishment.
The restaurant will be updated with new interior furnishings and design before the launch of the latest Alchemist Bar & Restaurant.
Simon Potts, managing director of The Alchemist said: “We’re delighted to be creating a suburban vision of The Alchemist and feel that Alderley Edge, a village we’ve known and loved at Living Ventures for many years, will be the perfect place to continue our exciting expansion plans.
“We believe that the casual all day restaurant element of the business; serving brunch, lunch and dinner alongside our beautifully crafted cocktails, will be a perfect fit for the village and look forward to welcoming guests later this summer.”
The Alchemist in Manchester’s Spinningfields was the first of Living Ventures’ cocktail bars with a focus on molecular and scientific concoctions.
Today more than five years later, its mixologists are renowned across the city and beyond and still pushing the boundaries.
The Alchemist is a stand-alone business under the Living Ventures’ umbrella. It has five sites nationwide (two in Manchester, two in Leeds and one in London) with a turnover of £11m in the last financial year, and employing over 250 people. Liverpool is set to open in June.
