Tatton Park has won the award for Cheshire’s Best Tourism Marketing Project for its successful ‘Roald Dahl’s Tremendous Adventures at Tatton Park’ experience running throughout 2016.
The winners of the 12th Marketing Cheshire Annual Tourism Awards were announced last night (24th November 2016) at a glamourous awards ceremony at Chester Racecourse hosted by former Political Editor of Granada TV and BBC North West, Jim Hancock.
The Awards, attended by nearly 300 tourism representatives, celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement by businesses and individuals that contribute to Cheshire’s £2.6 billion visitor economy.
Tatton Park’s Learning Team also received a Highly Commended Award for ‘Team of the Year’ in recognition of their award-winning education programme delivered to over 15,000 school children and adults throughout the year.
These awards come on the back of last month’s success when ‘Roald Dahl’s Tremendous Adventures at Tatton Park’ was shortlisted for the prestigious Northern Marketing Awards, Business to Consumer category held at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester.
Cheshire East Councillor George Walton, Chair of Tatton Park Board said “This is yet another fantastic achievement and extremely well deserved. Tatton is a national treasure and one that Cheshire East is exceptionally proud of.”
