Beware the Amazon scammers

Several of our subscribers have contacted is regarding an email phishing scam.

The email looks as though it has come from Amazon.

The email reads:

Hello,
We have closed your account and canceled all outstanding orders, we have blocked your card too, we are unable to make a debit on your credit card.
We took these actions because you have submitted invalid credit cards as payment for Amazon.com orders
Please verify your account information by Clicking Here

To learn more about the payment methods we accept, see the Payment, Pricing and VAT section of our Help page.Should you need to contact us for any reason, please know that we can give out order information only to the name and e-mail address associated with your account. Thanks again for shopping with us.

If you hover your mouse pointer over the ‘Amazon.com’ hotlink it does give you the correct url

However, if you hover over the words ‘Clicking Here’ this shows that you will in fact be directed to: http://www.gaspumprecords.com/modules/mod_users_latest/AmzEN/account/checklog.php?

Forward a copy of the message to: stop-spoofing@amazon.com then junk the email without opening it.
