Proud parents and local residents were joined by local MP David Rutley, at the Macclesfield Music Festival, which has been held over recent years at The Macclesfield Academy.
Held at The Macclesfield Academy, the festival saw fourteen primary schools and around 250 primary school pupils performing. Local secondary school students also participated and performed a variety of musical items, followed by performances from primary school soloists. Macclesfield Music Centre and Macclesfield Youth Brass Band Drum Corps also took part in the event. The festival was closed by Macclesfield Academy students, who led the finale song with all of the primary school pupils joining in for the chorus.
The event organisers also held a collection over both nights in support of East Cheshire Hospice.
