The Peak District Music Centres’ (PDMC) bands, orchestras and choirs will be returning to Buxton Opera House for their hugely popular annual Gala Concerts in June.

Over 300 of the area’s young musicians will perform well-known classics, movie hits and even a touch of jazz.

There’ll also be performances from local primary school children involved in the Derbyshire City & County Music Partnership Wider Opportunities programme.

Renowned for their standards of excellence, the PDMC ensembles range from elementary level through to the more advanced players in Peak District String Orchestra, Peak District Wind Band and Peak District Big Band, many of whom are involved in the Derbyshire City & County Youth Orchestra and Wind Band. Their precision and youthful exuberance are guaranteed to lift the spirit.

Tickets for Peak District Music Centres Gala Concert are £5-£8 for the 2pm performance and £6.50-£9.50 for the 7pm performance. Students and Children receive £1 off.
