It’s much safer to attend an organised community bonfire – so please attend an organised event this Bonfire Night.
Most injuries throughout the bonfire period occur as a result of people building their own bonfires, and setting off their own fireworks.
Here’s a list of some of the organised community bonfires and firework displays in Cheshire:
- Friday 3rd November – Beech Hall School bonfire in Tytherington, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 2EG. Start time is 4:30pm, bonfire lit at 5:00pm, fireworks display at 6:30pm.
- Friday 3rd November – Elton bonfire and Fireworks, organised by 1st Ince and Elton Scout Group, will take place on School Lane, Elton, CH2 4PJ. Gates open at 6:45pm
- Friday 3rd November – Fireworks display at Helsby Community Sports Club, Chester Road, WA6 0DL. Display starts at 7:30pm.
- Friday 3rd November – Fireworks extravaganza at New Horizons School Longbarn. Gates open 5pm.
- Friday 3rd November – Prestbury Golf Club bonfire and fireworks. Bonfire lit at 5:30pm, fireworks at 7:30pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Betley bonfire and fireworks. Betley Court Farm CW3 9BH on the A531 Gates open at 4pm, bonfire lit at 6pm and fireworks at 7:30pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Blakemere Village bonfire and fireworks. Bonfire at 6:30pm, fireworks display at 7:30pm
- Saturday 4th November – Broomfields Junior School fireworks spectacular, Bridge Lane, Appleton. The event runs from 6pm to 9pm and the gates will close at 7:25pm for the start of the fireworks at 7:30pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Congleton Park bonfire. Congleton Park, Congleton, Cheshire CW12 1JG. Gates open at 5pm, bonfire lit at 6pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Lymm Rugby Club bonfire and fireworks at Lymm Rugby Football Club, Crouchley Lane, Lymm WA13 0AS. Gates open at 6pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Pott Shrigley bonfire and fireworks display at Pott Shrigley Cricket Club, SK10 5RT. Bonfire lit at 6:30pm, fireworks at 7:30pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Poynton bonfire and fireworks at Poynton Park. Gates open from 5:30pm
- Saturday 4th November – Thelwall bonfire and fireworks at Thelwall Parish Hall, Thelwall, Warrington, WA4 2SX. Gates open 5pm, bonfire lit 6pm, fireworks at 6:45pm
- Saturday 4th November – Weaverham bonfire and firework display on Lakehouse Field in Weaverham CW8 3HY. Gates open 6pm. Fireworks at 6:30pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Winsford Town bonfire and firework display at the Barton Stadium, in Wharton. Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 6:45pm and firework display at 7:15pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Haslington Cricket Club bonfire on Clay Lane in Haslington starts at 6pm with the fire lit at approx. 7pm, followed by a firework display around 7:45pm.
- Saturday 4th November – Burton bonfire and fireworks on the field behind Burton Village Hall in Neston. Gates open at 5pm, bonfire at 6pm and fireworks at 7:30pm
- Sunday 5th November – Goostrey bonfire and fireworks night. Opens 4:30pm, bonfire 5:30pm, fireworks 6:30pm.
- Sunday 5th November – Halton fireworks display. The Brindley Theatre and Arts Centre, The Brindley High Street, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 1BG. Events starts at 6:30pm, fireworks at 7:30pm
