Thanks to the generosity of Stockport company Chrome Services Ltd, potentially life-saving defibrillator equipment has been provided to Broken Cross Primary School.
Adrian Dale and Anthony Williams of Chrome Services Ltd were joined by local MP, David Rutley, representatives of Peaks and Plains Housing Association and the Wilkinson Cowan Partnership and pupils and staff from the school.
A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high-energy shock is called defibrillation, and is an essential life-saving step when performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The company took the decision to donate the defibrillator following its work with Peaks and Plains on nearby Weston Estate.
